Cefixime + Ofloxacin Tablets
GATEXIM-O is a developed antibacterial solution by Healthgate, which is a comprehensive fixed dosage of Cefixime (200mg) and Ofloxacin (200mg). This two-action formula takes advantage of two different classes of antibiotics in order to provide an all-around assault against bacterial pathogens. Cefixime is a cephalosporin of the third generation that helps in interrupting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, whereas Ofloxacin is a powerful fluoroquinolone that acts by blocking the DNA gyrase, and hence stalling down the bacterial replication. GATEXIM-O has been specifically used in multi-pathways since it can overcome stubborn multi-drug-resistant strains, which may not be eliminated through single-antibiotic therapies, and thus, this technique forms an important part of the current treatment in infectious diseases.
Each film-coated tablet contains:
Cefixime IP – 200 mg
Ofloxacin IP – 200 mg
Dosage Form: Film-coated Tablet
Pharmacological Classification:
Cephalosporin Antibiotic
Fluoroquinolone Antibiot
GATEXIM-O has clinical indications that include the management of severe and complicated bacterial infections, and these are:
The administration of GATEXIM-O is expected to be accurate to the instructions of a healthcare worker, and usually one tablet per day (twice). A light meal should be taken together with the tablet to maximize its absorption or reduce the likelihood of stomach upset. The tablet has to be swallowed in its entirety along with a glass of water. It is not advisable to crush, break, or chew the pill since the holding of the filming constitutes an imperative protection against the active substances being destroyed before their established actions, as well as concealing the unpleasant flavor of the fluoroquinolone constituent.
Although GATEXIM-O is very useful, there is a possibility that a patient will develop nausea, diarrhea, or a metallic mouth taste. Other minor side effects are dizziness, insomnia, or mild skin rashes. In the uncommon instances, this may cause severe reactions, which may include tendon pains, watery diarrhea that cannot be cured, or an allergic reaction (swelling of the lips or throat). Should any severe symptoms occur, then it should be discontinued, and emergency medical help should be sought.
A: Two angles of attack, bacteria, cell wall, and DNA, are significantly disadvantaged in reducing the likelihood of treatment failure and bacterial resistance.
A: You should space them out. Ofloxacin may be bound with minerals, which inhibit its absorption. GATEXIM-O should be taken two hours in the state of being without supplements.
A: Absolutely. Our quality IP-certified ingredients are obtained by sourcing and subjected to high standards of HPLC to make every 200/200mg tablet to the highest global standards of purity.
A: Caution is required. Some cross-sensitivity between penicillins and cephalosporins exists, although they are in different classes. Never take this drug without consulting your doctor.
A: Ofloxacin may cause skin sensitivity to UV sunlight. During your GATEXIM-O course, we recommend you wear protective clothing or put on high-SPF sunscreen to avoid the effects.
A: We have a coating technique that guarantees a coating of the polymer that shields the actives against oxidation, and makes the pill firm enough to withstand even tropical weather.
A: No, the premature termination will allow the bacteria with the highest resistance to die and multiply, causing a relapse and the possibility of resistance to antibiotics. You should never leave anything unfinished.
A: We use closed-loop types of filtration and state-of-the-art waste handling systems to ensure that no active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) are discharged in the surrounding ecosystem.
