Levocloperastine Hydrochloride + Chlorpheniramine Maleate is a combination drug that is largely utilised in the treatment of dry cough. Coughing (dry or productive) is the mechanism through which the body removes irritants (such as allergens, mucus, or smoke) from airways and avoids infection. A dry cough feels tickly and does not emit viscous or thick mucus.

Levocloperastine Hydrochloride + Chlorpheniramine Maleate is a combination of two medications, i.e., Levocloperastine hydrochloride (cough suppressant) and Chlorpheniramine maleate (antihistamine). Levocloperastine hydrochloride acts by inhibiting the transmission of impulses from the cough centre in the brain to cough muscles. Hence, it reduces the urge to cough. Chlorpheniramine maleate acts by inhibiting the activity of histamine, a chemical that causes allergic reactions.
